Hotplate.
The hotplate provides a huge work surface (800mm x 500mm)
for boiling, simmering and warming all on the top surface, giving plenty
of room to shuffle pans, dishes and keep plates warm. The hotspot
directly above the firebox becomes hot and ready for use within seconds
of lighting the fire, and will remain the hottest part of the hotplate.
Moving away from the hotspot the temperature gradually reduces for
simmering and warming.

 |
Oven.
The flue gases from the firebox are directed around the
outside of the oven on all sides (left, right, top, bottom, back) to
ensure the oven is heated evenly. The tall oven space allows food to be
placed at different levels within the oven to make use of the oven
temperature gradient from top to bottom. The stove is supplied with a shelf thermometer so you
can see the temperature at a specific point in the oven.
The stainless steel shelves and supports are removable
for easy cleaning. |

Designed for wood.
The firebox is arranged to get the best out of your
timber.
The air inlet control and damping capability ensure you can maintain an
efficient fire for long periods. Capable of taking timber lengths up to
490mm you won’t expend too much energy chopping wood down to size. The
size of the firebed is adjustable so that small fires will burn as
comfortable as large ones. The firebox opening features a removable heat
shield which gives you the choice of viewing the fire and letting heat
into the room or saving the heat for cooking. Wood burns most effectively on a layer of its own ash and so the
fuel bed is designed to retain a layer of ash with excess ash falling into the ashpan below
for hassle free removal.
|
|
Control.
All the controls are to hand on the top of the stove.
There are two main controls; one to govern the burning rate of the fire
and the other ( shown here )to direct the heat either to the hotplate,
the oven or a balance between the two. There is also a flue damper to
limit the effect of strong chimneys.

 |
Installation.
At a minor 200kg by range cooker standards and with easy
access to four levelling feet, installation shouldn’t involve too much
huffing and puffing. The heat shielding around the stove means that it
can be installed up to base units for seamless integration with your
kitchen, and fuel can be stored between the legs of the stove. The 6” flue outlet is
positioned centrally on the top. |
